Cogniteq has completed a SOC 2® Type 2 examination!

For us at Cogniteq, protecting our clients’ data is a fundamental part of the corporate culture. And these are not just words. We demonstrate this in practice. Today, we are happy to announce that Cogniteq has completed its System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2® Type 2 examination.

This milestone reflects our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of data security and operational integrity. 

Introduced by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 examination is a widely recognised assessment of how companies protect client data across five key areas: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. The Type 2 report evaluates the effectiveness of a company’s controls over a sustained period of time.

Over the past several months, an independent auditor evaluated our processes, confirming that our controls are properly designed and operate effectively in day-to-day activities.

In the highly competitive software development industry, trust is one of the most important differentiators for vendors. The completion of the SOC 2 examination provides our clients with assurance that our company has established robust processes to manage their data securely.

This report confirms that:

1. Proactive risk management: We systematically identify and mitigate potential threats before they escalate into incidents, reducing operational and security risks across all projects.
2. Operational consistency: Our controls are embedded into daily processes, ensuring that security requirements are applied consistently rather than treated as one-time formalities.

To secure a favorable SOC 2 Type 2 report, our company had to demonstrate commitment to operational excellence. It is a testament to the collective effort of our entire organization.

The SOC 2 examination is not the first of our achievements in security. In 2024 and 2025, our company obtained ISO 27001 certification. It confirms the reliability of the Information Security Management System implemented by Cogniteq.
