Challenge
The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) from the United States approached us with a request to upgrade their official mobile application, LPGA Now, and implement substantial changes to its functionality. The goal was to enhance the overall user experience and bring the app in line with modern design and performance standards.
Our responsibilities included creating a new visual design, improving the user interface, and developing a significant portion of the app’s updated functionality. The Cogniteq team worked on both the iOS and Android versions of the application to ensure a consistent and high-quality experience across platforms.
Solution
As part of the LPGA Now app upgrade, our team was responsible for rethinking and rebuilding the application’s core functionality. The main focus was on delivering a seamless user experience and providing fans with easy access to real-time content and key player information. Our approach involved a complete redesign of several major sections, ensuring intuitive navigation and better content organization.
We also implemented integrations that enabled the app to deliver up-to-date data from official LPGA sources. Special attention was paid to performance optimization and smooth content playback across devices. The result is a dynamic, content-rich application that keeps golf enthusiasts connected to the LPGA at all times.
Scoring
Users can view live tournament scoring and real-time results directly within the app, allowing them to stay updated on standings, player performances, and key moments as they happen.
News & Video
We developed a rich content gallery organized into News, Photos, and Videos. Videos are pulled from the LPGA website and displayed using a WebView component to ensure smooth playback and consistent presentation.
Stats
This section provides detailed statistics for every LPGA player, offering fans deeper insights into individual performance.
Rankings
Users can view up-to-date rankings from the CME Globe, Rolex, and the Rolex Annika Major Award categories.
Players & Favorites
This section was completely reworked. Users can now follow favorite players, view their bios and stats, and receive push notifications when their information is updated.

We integrated the app with LPGA’s official Twitter account, allowing users to read the latest tweets without leaving the app.
